Creative Minds At CA- Sharath Kumar M N

CA Technologies is extremely proud of the caliber of its employees and celebrates their individual achievements. For us, our employees are our assets who play a great role in determining the company’s success and we believe in valuing, nurturing and retaining them. Hence, we like to support their innovative ideas and concepts that hold the potential to become ‘the next big thing’.

As part of our “Bring What You Bring – Creative Minds At CA” blog series, we are celebrating several of our innovative employees who have brought pride to the organization through their prodigious work.

Meet Sharath Kumar Madenahatti Nanjaiah, our first ‘Creative Mind At CA’ blog contributor. He is working as a Senior Principal Architect, specializing in product and big data. Sharath is part of the Agile Operations team working on the CA App Experience Analytics Project at CA ITC. Sharath joined CA back in April 2018.

What interests you in the innovation industry and what is your dream innovation?

We asked Sharath what is it about the technology innovation industry that interested him and what did he want to achieve in this area. He said, “With the advent of Web 2.0, I noticed that there is a huge volume of data that is getting generated in an exponential manner. I have a keen interest in deriving meaningful insights from huge data volumes (Big Data) that shall be of real help to others in this field. I have a habit of constantly exploring new technologies that assist in getting insights in real time. That’s how I landed up exploring ‘Elastic Stack’, which is the subject of my book. My work at my previous organization assisted me with the same.”

How did you achieve this?

We wanted to know what the steps were that he took to achieve writing a book on such an individualized concept. He replied, “I started working on solving different existing problems using ‘Elastic Stack’ in my previous organization and thus gained good expertise on it. I also presented some of these cases and delivered talks in various conferences like the Oracle Code Event, where only a few selected experts from different organizations are provided an opportunity to present. Post this I was approached by Packt Publishers, who requested me to contribute to the book ‘Learning Elastic Stack 6.0’. I was excited about this opportunity and started working on it. The book finally got released in December 2017.”

Who helped you with the project and how?

Everyone has a support group that helps them in their journey towards a goal. We asked Sharath as to who helped him make this book a reality. “Balancing a job and writing a book is very difficult and challenging due to the time constraints. However, with the emotional support from my parents, sister, good friends and a few ex-colleagues, I managed it and completed it on time. I am a pet lover and my lovely pets Guddu and Milo have assisted me in this journey as well by taking off the stress.”, said Sharath.

How long did it take to complete the book and were you recognized for it in any way?

Writing a book can be an extremely lengthy process but once published, it surely yields the fruits of labor. We asked Sharath as to how long did it take him to complete the book and in what way was he recognized for his commendable work? He replied, “It took me 5 months to complete the book. The book is now available for purchase at most of the known e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Packt, Flipkart etc. Since its launch, the book is featured consistently on Amazon’s Top 100 Best-Selling Books in the category of ‘Databases & Big Data’, ‘Data Processing’ and ‘Data Modelling and Design’. The book was also recognized as ‘One of the best Data Processing books of all time’ and ‘One of the best Elastic Search books of all time’ by Book Authority, ranking at number 1 in both the categories. Based on the popularity of the book, recently the video version was launched as well by Packt Publishers. It goes without saying that all of the hard work certainly paid off!

What would you suggest to those innovators who are considering CA as an employer of choice to join our organization?

Leadership at CA embraces and fosters innovation and creative thinking. I would like to thank the entire leadership team and my manager Kiran Kadarla for their encouragement, the opportunity to experiment and recognition I’ve received, which has motivated me to keep getting better at my work.

I strongly encourage prospective employees and future innovators to join CA and make use of CA’s rich ecosystem that encourages developing innovate solutions for the growth of its clients, self and the organization.

Intern At CA: Vasu Sharma

Through our Intern @ CA blog series, we cover the stories of such enthusiastic interns who have joined CA Technologies. Vasu Sharma is a final year student of The UPES College, Dehradun, who had interned with CA as a Cyber Security Developer.

How did you know about CA Technologies?

On asking Vasu about how he came across CA Technologies, he said “My answer to this question is a bit different from those of other interns. CA Technologies is a B2B company which creates products for large enterprises. I came to know about CA Technologies when it visited my college for the first time. And to be honest, once I heard the news of CA visiting my campus I did my research around the company and was very much overwhelmed by its products.

How was the Intern Program selection process?

Fulfilling dreams isn’t very easy and requires hard work and dedication and it is only then that one relishes the fruit of labor. For Vasu, the selection process was intensive but worth it.

“Getting an internship with a corporate that has such a great product base was quite surprising. I never thought of getting into a company this big as an intern, but thanks to CA’s business structure of having a separate business unit for Security, I got the opportunity I was looking for. I have done B-Tech with a specialization in Cyber Security and the company came to the campus for recruitment with a single vacancy in Cyber Security. Fortunately, I was selected for the role after 3 rounds of interviews. The first round was an aptitude assessment which was held on Cocubes, an online platform. This was followed by an online video interview which analyzed my technical knowledge of Java and the details of the projects I had done in the past. The final round was an online HR interview which focused on behavioral and situation-based questions. A week later I was offered an internship with CA technologies as a Developer in the Cyber Security business unit.

What exposure did you receive on your CA Internship?

Internships are there to provide an extensive learning experience which prepares you for the actual challenges you’ll face in the fast-paced, dynamic, competitive and ever-growing industry. This is exactly what CA provided Vasu with as well as such freedom within what he delivered.

He said, “I worked within the Security business unit and was assigned a server-side migration project. Apart from this main assignment, I worked with logarithms for some functionality engraving in existing products. I also took up a project that belonged to a completely different business unit and this was possible because CA gives you the freedom to select, work and learn about any project that interests you”.

How did your assigned CA mentor benefit your Internship experience?

As part of the internship program, it’s crucial interns feel supported through their time at CA. Vasu was no different and spoke positively of the great support he received from his mentor Venky Venkata Swamy Karukuri.

“On the first day of my internship I was introduced to an architect (basically a product designer) named Venky and I feel fortunate to have worked under him. He assigned me to challenging projects and despite his busy schedule, he would arrange for weekly meetings to ensure that I was on the right track. He would guide me around various aspects of technology and life, clearing all my doubts regarding my project and the industry. He introduced me to several experienced colleagues who were a great source of learning for me. The experience of being an intern at CA was unlike any other.”

What do you like most about CA Technologies?

The company believes that in order to hone one’s skills and perform well, employees require a conducive, lively and relaxed environment and that is only possible when people come together and feel like a single unit.

“To be honest, the best thing about the company is the collaborative nature of its employees who make time to respond to queries despite being busy. There is a strong team spirit among the members of staff and a zeal to excel as a team rather than an individual.” says Vasu.

How was the success of your Internship rewarded?

A dedicated and passionate student, a proficient mentor and a jubilant environment make the perfect potion for success. But being appreciated and rewarded makes the success even sweeter. On being asked about the appreciations and rewards he received during his internship, Vasu replied, “I did receive appreciation for the three projects I worked on”. But being offered a permanent role at CA was the biggest reward for him.

“To be honest, getting a pre-placement offer from a product-based company is the best feeling in the entire world for a B-Tech graduate. I was thrilled the moment I received a call from the company saying that I’d been offered PPO. I was overjoyed by the news and I didn’t think twice before agreeing to take the offer.”

What do you like most about the ITC?

Vasu was extremely complimentary of the India Technology Center in Hyderabad and the facilities available. We asked Vasu as to what were the main things about the ITC that made him look forward to coming to the CA campus every day?

His response was, “CA has a great campus with a lot of greenery and open spaces. The workstations are spacious and comfortable and the refreshment station on each floor is loaded all the time. The cafeteria too gives a variety of food options”.

What advice would you offer to those who are currently looking for an Internship?

On being asked as to what he would advise to others on choosing a company to work for, he happily stated, “CA is a B2B company and hence many may not be aware of the brand, but CA has a presence in every sector from banking to e-commerce and other applications. As CA is a product-based company I would recommend aspirants to know about algorithms and data structures from a technical point of view. Also, in terms of why CA is an employer of choice, CA employees enjoy a great work life balance and flexibility at work.”

CA is extremely happy to welcome Vasu to its vast family and wishes him all the success for his career ahead.

A Day In the Life at CA: Ramesh Manickavel, Director for Agile Program Management

What it’s like to work at CA as a Director

When searching for a role or starting your career in the tech industry, you’ll typically find bulleted information on a company’s job description, benefits, and culture. We want to go a step beyond and give you insight from a real CA employee. This Director for Agile Program Management profile is part of our careers blog series “A Day in The Life At CA”.

Meet Ramesh

Ramesh Manickavel is the Director for the Agile Program Management unit, located in the CA India Technology Center, in Hyderabad. He joined CA Technologies in 2009 but took a short break of 5 months from the organization in 2011 post which he re-joined the organization. He says, “That tells you about how much I like CA”.

Before joining CA Technologies, Ramesh had worked for GE (General Electricals) as a developer/architect for online Parts Store as well as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt involved in the organization-wide process improvement projects. Post this he joined Oracle India Development Centre as a Technical Staff Member. Today he works as a Director for Agile Program Management where he’s tasked with enabling product development teams to provide predictable on-time delivery with improved quality.

An average day.

Ramesh is an early riser and reaches office by 8:30 am after an hour of jogging. He then plans his day meticulously by going through e-mails, pending items from the previous day and preparing for meetings to be scheduled for the day. He reviews the various agendas for the meetings and ensures he has the required data & details. He likes spending the lunchtime with his peers and colleagues and occasionally steps out with them for team lunch.

“Walk around the campus is a must post lunch for me. I try to keep half hour for myself post lunch to be able to plan for rest of the day or to catch up on items that I couldn’t do in the morning. Late afternoons and evenings are mostly consumed in meetings.”

Ramesh likes reading in his free time and tries to make time for it whenever he can.

“I make time for myself to go over blogs and videos shared with me by my team members, peers or anyone else on leadership or technical staff. And my day ends with some reading (fiction mostly) even if it is for 10 to 15 minutes.”

The best part of the job.

On being asked about what part of his job he likes the most, he said, “Interacting with people – whether it be technical discussions or brainstorming on new ideas, it’s amazing to see how diverse we are in terms of functional/technical knowledge, skills, experience yet aligned to a common vision. Making a difference by working with such great minds is what I love about my job.”

He also loves his workspace which is right in the middle of his floor which makes it easier for him to interact with the team. “It’s bright and comes with my favorite two whiteboards. I have the habit of writing a lot on them when I have my discussions with teammates.”

On office surroundings and facilities

“We have an amazing campus to walk around, especially the location near the amphitheater introduced by my friend Satbeer. It’s serene. That’s the place I choose to unwind and spend some quiet moments with myself. I have brought my family several times on site and my mom just loves our campus. She thinks that her son has the coolest job in the whole world and its kind of true!”

Ramesh was full of praise for the CA facilities and the team that takes care of it. He says, “We have one of the best facilities team in the world. I have worked with them on several occasions for different events at the team level and organization level – we just need to make it known, they make it happen.”

CA benefits

CA Technologies has an employee champion program which nominates people who help solve issues/grievances at workplace and promote various benefits for employees. Ramesh has himself been an employee champion and knows a lot about CA benefits.

“I have been an employee champion and it’s wonderful to see how much CA invests in the wellbeing of its employees. Personally, I have had emergency situations where I couldn’t go through the suggested medical procedures, but the support and help I got from CA is amazing. I also like the gesture of inviting family members to the health sessions that take place at work.”

Some words of advice

Many people that are new to the tech industry may not know CA Technologies. We asked Ramesh what advice or comments would he have for them about choosing to work for CA. He replied, “While the branding and advertisements like ‘Bring What You Bring’ has increased awareness about CA significantly, a lot of folks think that we are chartered accountants. Personally, I like CA primarily because of the growth opportunities it has provided me with. I will tell the individuals that their career growth aligning with their aspiration is more important than the brand of the company. I choose to have a personal brand myself along with my company’s brand rather than just associating myself with a brand. With a wide range of product development teams in CA, there are variety of challenging opportunities in every area.”

Get a jump on your day!

Was your new year’s resolution for 2018 to be healthier? Are you one of those people who haven’t given it much thought since? We totally get it – It’s hard to maintain work and wellness. At CA Technologies, it’s a little easier, thanks to the awesome workplace wellness programs we offer.

CA Technologies has relaunched its health and wellbeing strategy across its 2,500 employees in EMEA, expanding its offering to include mental health and resilience components, rather than focusing solely on physical health.

We caught up with Fionnuala Feighan, Senior Regional Compensation and Benefits Specialist, UK and Ireland on what does wellness and wellbeing mean to her and how does she support CA’s employees in her role.

Wellness is about my physical health, and asking myself am I getting enough sleep and exercise, am I eating well? Wellbeing, I feel is more holistic, it includes my physical health but also my emotional and mental health as they are also interconnected. My challenge is to remember this and make sure I am balancing my needs in all three areas, however this can be challenging in a busy life!

CA Technologies provides opportunities for people to focus on their wellbeing while at work and enjoy it. This could be anything from a Pilates class in Barcelona to EMEA wide cycling challenge where we combine the importance of mental and physical resilience, in association with our sponsor, Trek Segafredo’s professional cycling team.”

Fionnuala also shared what CA employees can look forward to over the next few months.

“CA Technologies is continuing to focus on local wellbeing activities in all of the EMEA countries. An exciting follow up to our Trek Segafredo simulator bike challenge is planned, plus some more surprises along the way.”

Fionnuala explains how she and her team are working towards expanding the definition of wellbeing.

“Wellbeing means different things to different people. For some it may be going for a long walk, but for someone else it may be spending time with friends or giving their time to a charity. We are expanding our definition of wellbeing and linking it closely with our core DNA elements which include collaboration, social awareness and resilience.”

Fionnuala talks about one of her fondest moment in her role at CA and why it was so special.

“World Mental Health Day last year marked the start of the MIND Your Step Challenge EMEA, an innovative four-week app-based challenge that combined physical and mental wellbeing to help boost our mental resilience, enhance our overall health and encourage collaboration. Over the 4-week challenge, the EMEA region took 86 million steps – a distance equal to walking one and a half times around the world. The small team of working mums that won the challenge, walked over 3 million steps and they managed to do this while working full time in demanding roles. My fondest memory was announcing their achievement.”

Women In Leadership at CA Technologies | Kelly Long

As part of our “Bring What You Bring – Women in Leadership” blog series, we’re celebrating several of our women in leadership to find out what they bring to the organization.

Meet Kelly Long. She’s the Vice President for Communications, Asia, Pacific & Japan.

What does a Vice President for Communications, APJ do?

Kelly takes a leading role in managing the APJ Communications team and helps promote CA’s brand.

“When you see an article about CA in a business or tech publication (in print or online), or read about a CA solution on a blog by an influencer, or watch a CA spokesperson being interviewed on a news channel or a social platform, or read an analyst’s report that features CA, or attend a town hall, or participate in a CSR program that helps promote STEM or assists young people in underserved communities. That’s all part of what the Communications team does to help build, promote and raise the trust, corporate reputation and awareness of CA.”

Bring What You Bring

At CA, employees are encouraged to work with one another and build on each other’s strengths to create richer results. This ‘Bring What You Bring’ ethos is spread right across the organization and when speaking to Kelly about what she brings to CA, she told us that her main asset is her passion, experience and social awareness as she believes in delivering value to employees and making a positive impact on the business.

“I love what I do. And, I’ve been doing this for a while. I’ve been fortunate to have worked in different industries, across the region, with colleagues and bosses from around the world. The passion, experience and social awareness would be part of I bring.”

CA APJ Media & Analyst Chinese New Year event

One piece of advice for current or future Women Leaders

Kelly believes that in order to lead to the best of our abilities we must be able to see things from both sides of the table; the leader and the follower.

“Lead how you would want to be led.”

My female inspiration

Kelly has many female role models, of which are amongst her family members.

“I can’t name just one. I grew up in a family of strong women. My grandmother ran away from home to further her studies at a time when mainly boys progressed beyond high school. My aunt had her own advertising agency and was a creative director of a few global agencies. My other aunt was a top sales person. My mother is working into her 70s (part-time because she enjoys it and when she’s not at work, she’s holidaying with her girlfriends). I grew up knowing that with hard work and determination, you can achieve your goals in life.”

Women in Leadership qualities

CA Technologies has a core of DNA that align with the company’s mission, to eliminate the barriers between ideas and business outcomes. Kelly has selected the most important DNA trait that she feels will make her a successful woman in leadership at CA Technologies.

“Resilient” – Stay the course – embrace challenges, learn and be better.

“Agile” – This is an ever-changing world – be adaptive and be ahead of the change.

“Collaborative” – Success is a team sport – working together and winning together.

Why do I love to continuously learn about the Mainframe?

We caught up with Ondrej Tulach who is based at our Prague Technology Center. He joined CA back in July 2011 as a tester to work on security and then was promoted twice. Now he works as a Software Engineer for Mainframe.

The favorite part of Ondrej’s job is to create a well-established test that developers call the “Ondrej’s insane test”. It helps to figure out the problem early in the development cycle and ensures that it gets fixed before delivering it to the customers. In software engineering terms, he loves to see an RC=0 in his TC JCLs.

CA Technologies recently took part a university careers fair and Ondrej was one of the demo presenters. We asked Ondrej how the event went?

“We did a demo for SYSVIEW and ISPFDIT. Sysview has been one of CA’s best products ever, a much more powerful alternative to IBM’s native SDSF. In Windows terms: Sysview is like if you took the Windows Task Manager combined with the Disk Management console, event viewer, performance monitor – and control panel of all your database machines.”

Ondrej loves to work on ACF2, a security product on CA’s mainframe.

”ACF2 is one of just three security/access control software on the Mainframe, the other two being IBM RACF and CA Top Secret. On Mainframe, there is an opposite philosophy than on other systems: if you haven’t explicitly granted privileges, you cannot do anything. This is called ‘No rule, No access’.

There are many inevitable results of the security. For one, it means much higher bar for both design and testing. If failure of your product means collapses of a whole company or government institution, the only acceptable design philosophy is ‘fail-safe’, delivering a robust product as humanely as possible. That is the pinnacle of software testing, and the direct opposite of the ‘safe-fail’ philosophy of reckless improvisation and non-robust design promoted by the whole ‘Agile’ movement. Security is also inherently interesting and a captivating subject, making you work hard to deliver because you know how much is at stake.”

What other products have you enjoyed working on recently at CA?

“I am currently working on Log Analyzer. Log Analyzer is a product for Database Administrators working on the IBM DB2 relational database. It allows auditing, database activity replication to data warehouses, recovery of accidentally dropped database objects and analysis of database activity.”

Ondrej suggests a career in Mainframe for those who are looking for something special or if you’re considering not following the crowd when it comes to a career in tech.

“Mainframe has immense hardware capabilities, far beyond what the x86, x64 or ARM architectures have to offer. One z14 box offers the same HW performance as a whole farm of traditional servers. And finally, there is a constant lack of expertise on Mainframe, so if you join now, you have a competitive edge for your career.”

We asked Ondrej why should someone consider CA Technologies if you’re a software engineer looking to work with Mainframe Technologies.

“I enjoy the work-life balance – you’re not required to do overtimes (even though many people do them voluntarily, wanting to finish the WIP they have opened before they go home) unless you’re having a support service for high-priority customer issues. Also, the flexible working hours are great advantage. Plus, work from home and sick days are available.”

A Day in the Life at CA: Ivan Satsiuk, Software Engineer

Ever wonder what it’s like to be a Software Engineer at CA Technologies?

When searching for a role or starting your career in the tech industry, you’ll typically find bulleted information on a company’s job description, benefits and culture. We want to go a step beyond that and give you insight on these key facts from the perspective of a real CA employee. This Software Engineer profile is part of our careers blog series “A Day In The Life At CA”.

Meet Ivan

Ivan Satsiuk, Software Engineer, is a lover of cycling. Ivan cycles to work and back home most days.

Ivan’s Career Story

Ivan originally started working as an Associate Software Engineer back in May 2016 before getting promoted to Software Engineer in July 2017. He was working on CA Easytrieve and then moved to Blockchain technology.

“I started as an Associate SE, working on a product called CA Easytrieve. It is a great product with massive revenue, but I wanted to get more development experience rather than maintenance, and the business helped support my move to another team. At the same time, I had discovered a Blockchain technology and figured out that it has great potential in the world and for CA Technologies. Long story short, I’m currently a Software Engineer working as a part of a Blockchain team here in Prague.”

The Life of a Software Engineer

We asked Ivan how he would describe his role as a Software Engineer and why he loves it.

“I am a Programmer who’s working with Blockchain. I have also been part of the Itertest/Symdump team, and that was a great experience for me as well. With this team I’m currently part of, I have dived into Agile principles and witnessed them being applied. The best part of each team that I have been working with is the great level of professionalism of every engineer, manager, scrum-master I’ve had the pleasure of working with.”

A typical workday for Ivan starts by checking his emails and setting up priority tasks for the day and set a plan rest of the week. Ivan is keen to keep up to date with technological trends and information.

“Since our team was born only a few months ago – we are quite busy. We constantly discuss the potential of Blockchain use-cases, searching for new ones, and talking to our customers. I also spend a lot of time wrapping my head around the tech behind Blockchain frameworks, which is relatively complex and is being improved every single day. We also plan educational sessions for our colleagues.”

When we asked Ivan what is the favorite part of his job, he told us how he loves programming and getting the results without any errors.

“Every programmer knows this feeling when you are discovering a new way for your program to perform exactly the way you have designed, while passing all the functionality tests. So, this is my favorite part.

Life At CA

Ivan is certainly a fan of the office and the area of the business park in Chodov. He loves the office location as it is close to the Metro station and shopping centre. One of his gym’s is located there, and he has everything he needs within a short distance of few hundred meters from work.

“A few months ago, we moved to a new building. It is hard to describe it in short, one just has to see it, it’s fantastic. One thing I can say – the office certainly has a personality. The location of the office is still the same, and we have access to all one could think of in a matter of minutes. Also, the shopping centre here in Chodov has finished its reconstruction and now has one of the best cinemas in the city just 5 minutes away from the office.”

As you can tell from Ivan’s introduction, he’s a lover of cycling. We’re extremely happy the benefits we offer to our Prague employees meet those sporty needs and it is a vital part of why Ivan loves his #LifeAtCA.

“I am using the Sport Card – a card that allows employees to visit one of the sport facilities of his/her choice. The best part about it is that card doesn’t just provide access to a few gyms in the city, it has a massive network of places around the country. It provides access to gyms, swimming pools to trampolines and even some marital art clubs.”

Ivan’s Career Advice

Ivan would recommend a Software Engineering position at CA Technologies to anyone who wants to be a part of great culture and wants to stay ahead in technology.

“I’d recommend them to compare reviews of employees of each company and see where they can fulfill their potential the most.”

We couldn’t have said it better. Thanks to Ivan for sharing his Day in the #LifeAtCA of a Software Engineer! You can follow him on LinkedIn here.

Nada believes that a woman should be true to herself. She should be authentic and should have a sprit to never give up – even when it gets dark out there.

“Be deliberate about choosing WHO you are – both at work and outside of work – and never allow anyone to make you feel small – because that is a choice that every one of us has within our own control – so don’t give that power away to others.”

My female inspiration

Nada has many female role models, but mentions her biggest inspiration is her Mother.

“My mum – she is the purest, most authentic, as well as strongest person I have ever known. If I can be even half the inspirational person that she is, then I will have achieved something in this life.”

Women In Leadership at CA Technologies | Janice Cox

As part of our “Bring What You Bring – Women in Leadership” blog series, we’re celebrating several of our women in leadership to find out what they bring to the organization.

Meet Janice Cox. She’s the VP of Sales and Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand.

What does a VP of Sales and Managing Director ANZ do?

Janice takes a leading role in collaborating with customers to help them grow their business through utilizing CA software.

“I am responsible for driving sales, building the partner ecosystem, developing new business and managing overall operations.”

Bring What You Bring

At CA, employees are encouraged to work with one another and build on each other’s strengths to create richer results. This ‘Bring What You Bring’ ethos is spread right across the organization and when speaking to Janice about what she brings to CA, she told us that her main asset is her experience and passion, as she believes in; delivering value to customers, the coaching and leadership of CA’s employees, business growth and effectiveness.

“I understand the importance of working closely with customers to help them achieve success in their business. Doing this well every day is what counts. When our customers are recommending our products and services to other organizations, that’s my measure of success.”

One piece of advice for current or future Women Leaders

Janice believes that mistakes should never stop a woman from achieving the best in their careers. Failure is just a stepping stone to success.

“Develop your confidence through learning from your mistakes and believe you can overcome the problems you encounter – there is always a solution.”

My female inspiration

Janice has many female and male role models, but mentions her biggest inspiration is Meg Whitman, Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

“I believe Meg Whitman is a very impressive global CEO. She is practical and pragmatic. Customers are always front and center of what she’s trying to achieve and she will drop everything when the major issues hits, demonstrating to both customers and staff, that being there when it counts is everything.”
